Who is not suitable for the Better Pelvi chair.
The following individuals are generally contraindicated or should avoid the Better Pelvi treatment.
Pregnant or Breastfeeding women: The electromagnetic stimulation can effect a developing fetus or alter body tissues.
Individuals with implanted electronic devices: This includes cardiac pacemakers, defibrillators, drug pumps and neurostimulators. The magnetic field can interfere with or damage these devices.
Those with metal implants in the pelvic region: This includes hip replacements, metal plates or pins. The magnetic energy can heat the metal or cause it to shift.
Copper IUD wearers: Intrauterine devices (IUDs) containing metal, however, plastic/hormonal IUDs (like Mirena) are generally considered safe.
People with certain medical conditions: Individuals with certain severe heart disorders, blood coagulation disorders, malignant tumors/cancer, or epilepsy should avoid this treatment.
Those with active infections or open wounds: The procedure should not be performed on or near the pelvic area if there is an active infection, inflammation, or bleeding disorder.
Individuals with certain pelvic severe pelvic organ prolapse: In some cases of severe organ prolapse, the treatment may not be suitable or effective.
Individuals currently menstruating: Treatment is usually postpones during a menstrual period to avoid potential discomfort or hormonal changes that may effect the muscle response.
